Description
It is important to note that this skull is not for sale and is not in my possession. I am simply leaving this listing up to allow people to look at the pictures, as a larger sample size is always helpful when it comes to studying things.
Skull elongation was achieved in a few different ways, including tightly wrapping the head or by pressing boards against it. Reasons for elongating are still being debated, but the fact that many cultures all over the world practiced elongation when they supposedly had no contact with each other is definitely interesting.
This skull has some restoration, as seen in the pictures. She has very worn teeth, likely from bits of rock remaining in the corn after being ground which they used to make bread. They also frequently used their teeth as tools, leading to further wear. She also displays some awesome Inca/Wormian bones around the back of her skull.
